Let’s chat about heirloom brands that are worth investment. You guys have probably seen that I recently partnered with Mackenzie Childs. What you may not know is that I actually was a customer before that. Do on an authentic level I can attest to their products. Mackenzie-Childs is unlike any other brand I’ve ever seen. The unique charm and traditional vibe that this company shows through all of their beautiful designs is simply nothing short of incredible. Since 1983, their talented designers and artisans have created beautiful, original tableware, furniture, home and garden accessories and more, that add joy and grace to homes great and small throughout the world. History of Mackenzie Childs:
I believe this is such a good brand to invest in as an adult because you can use their items as family heirlooms to pass onto your children. With MacKenzie-Childs offering and manufacturing ceramics and hand-painted imported furniture and decor, there is something special for everyone that they have to offer within their brand. Another fun fact that I love about the company is it was actually founded in 1983 by husband and wife Victoria and Richard MacKenzie-Childs. You can actually tour the farm where they make their products.
Why are they unique?
Did you know that every piece of Mackenzie Childs ceramics are hand painted. That means no two pieces are exactly alike. Their pottery decorators mix their own colors so its always a different variation in addition to the brush strokes so you will always see their artists’s “hand” in the work. I got the opportunity to stencil my own cake plate for the artist to replicate and I love that it looks like I painted it on my own.
Also their furniture is decorated by hand, most from start to finish with a single artisan. The artist creates their signature designs with Courtly checks and their many other designs and can take as much as two weeks to complete with the larger pieces.
I have shared some of my favorite pieces throughout this post. I hope to add some dinnerware to my collection along their infamous tea pot.
