Patriotic Delicious Italian Pasta Salad Recipe: Summer Eats

Hi friends! Today I’m sharing my Patriotic Delicious Pasta Salad Recipe: Summer Eats! If you’re looking to take your pasta salad recipe to the next level AND have a mouth watering snack out for everyone this 4th of July, this is going to be your go to recipe! Keep reading to see how we made it and all of the ingredients that made it SO tasty!

This version of pasta salad is using Patriotic themed pasta by The Pasta Shoppe in celebration of our country, but you can totally make it without and make it anytime of year. The Pasta Shoppe has all types of shaped and themed pasta so you should definitely check them out especially for kids or entertaining. I just CRAVE me some pasta salad in the warm summer months y’all. It’s just not a pool or lake day without it. You can use this Patriotic Pasta Salad Recipe for everything from MLK Day, Washington’s Birthday, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Constitution Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Bill of Rights Day, and more.

If you’re planning to attend a lake weekend with friends, have loved ones over, or throw a pool party for the kids, I highly recommend whipping up this delicious appetizer, side, whatever you want to call it! I had so much fun creating this and I will absolutely be replicating it for the upcoming holiday’s as well! I can’t wait to hear what you all think. You know what they say here in the South… GO ‘MERICA!

Check out the key ingredients as well as how to make BELOW:

  • Pasta Shoppe Patriotic Pasta Shapes
  • 1/2 head of cauliflower
  • Jeff’s Garden purple cauliflower
  • Cucumber, diced
  • Red Pepper, diced
  • Tomatoes, diced
  • Sliced black olives
  • Sliced kalamata olives
  • Sliced Salami or Pepperoni
  • Pepperoncini
  • Crumbled Feta or Mozzarella cheese
  • Italian Dressing (I used Tessemae’s)
  • Salt and Pepper for seasoning
  • Italian Blend Seasoning
  1. Place a large pot of water over high heat and bring to a boil. Add a spoonful of salt to the water. Then stir in the dried pasta. Cook according to package instructions, usually 6-8 minutes to al dente. Drain the pasta, and rinse with cold water in a colander. Set aside.
  2. Rinse veggies and cut in small pieces
  3. Slice any other items in recipe into bite size pieces
  4. Mix all ingredients together in large mixing bowl
  5. Season and then mix again
  6. Voila. It is ready.
  • You can play with ingredients and mix and match, especially with veggies. You can also make your own dressing but I was trying to be quick and efficient.

You can make this recipe ahead of time for meals. Most pasta salads actually taste better after sitting for a day or two. Just make sure to cover it well and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Sounds delicious, right?! I hope you all enjoyed this post and that everyone is having a great start to their Summer! I pray that everyone has a SAFE and FUN 4th of July weekend! I look forward to seeing all of the fun places people are traveling to. Be sure to TAG ME on IG if you make and share this tasty treat of a recipe 🙂 Cheers and Happy 4th!
