Summer is rapidly approaching and my kids practically beg me daily to go outside now that it’s warm. On a typical day they usually wear me down and I give in. A large part of me doesn’t want to go outside because of the heat but to be honest, the main part that makes me avoid going outside are the BUGS! We live in the south so we can’t escape them. For some reason mosquitos love me and my blood. Within minutes of going outside I’m covered in welts. For the longest time it just made me not want to go outside. There must be a way to help avoid this so I can enjoy the fire pit and patio we just built. We had a couple friends over for dinner the other evening and I decided to try it out and see how it held up. I have never used any type of fuel to repel mosquitos so I didn’t know what to expect.
What is it?
It is a citronella and cedar formula that helps to provide proven mosquito repellency. We use it with TIKI Brand table top torches and also have some other TIKI Brand torches scattered around the fire pit area. We do a lot of entertaining in the warmer months when mosquitos are at full force and we want our guests (along with ourselves, ha) to be able to relax on our patio and not stress about mosquito bites.
What products we use.
Like I said above, we have multiple TIKI Brand Adjustable Flame Torches. The thing I love most is you can adjust the knob to create a smaller or larger flame to your liking. The pink glass Adjustable Flame Torch comes with an adjustable multi piece pole so you can customize the height of the pole or simply remove it to create a table torch. The table top torches are amazing. I love all the fun designs of the table top torches they carry. Ours is white and dipped in gold and makes it look more elegant and fashion forward in my opinion. It went with my boho vibe. It’s also very lightweight and only for outdoor use. It really completes any fun set up I have for picnics outside and improves the decor level while providing mosquito protection. We have them scattered all around our patio tables.
How long does it last?
One fill of TIKI Brand BiteFighter Torch Fuel can burn up to 19 hours inour Adjustable Flame Table Torch. One 100-oz. Easy Pour Bottle can fill eight 12-ounce torch fuel canisters.
Does it work?
Yes, it really does. The fuel even smells good and it burns effortlessly. We have 4 TIKI Brand torches around our patio and two table torches on our patio table. The fuel lasts a long time and you can adjust the flame up and down to your liking with their Adjustable Flame Torches. It’s also very affordable and so convenient for nights spent outdoors by our fire pit.
How does it work?
Well it’s as easy as you would expect it to be. We just take the cap off, fill our TIKI Brand Adjustable Flame Torches with TIKI Brand BiteFighter Torch Fuel and light the wick end. From there, we adjust the level of the flame we are wanting and enjoy the evening. When we are finished and ready to go in for the night we turn the knob counter-clockwise to create a lower flame and close the lid over it.
End Result
I dig it. I definitely will continue to use and purchase these products to not only keep mosquitos far away from my backyard oasis but also, I love how cute the designs are and how they jazz up my space.
