Tomorrow is the day we have all been dreaming of Game of Thrones friends. The last episode. Will anyone else need therapy like me? For real though this show has been such a huge part of my life for 8+ years along with so many others and I’m so sad to see it come to an end. I’ve already watched it two times through but it’s definitely a show I will rewatch again. If you’re throwing a party for the finale or even hosting a GOT theme party for birthdays or whatever party, here are some amazing Game of Thrones themed party ideas for you broken into sections.

WHAT WE MADE: “Greyjoy Special”, “Little Chicken Fingers”, “Dragon Eggs”, Spinach and Artichoke Dip Bread Bowl, Shishito Peppers, Veggies, Grapes & Cheese boards.

“GREYJOY SPECIAL”

If you know, you know. We just grabbed some sausages and grilled them a tad heavy on the grill.

“DRAGON EGGS”

Hard-boiled eggs, slightly cracked, then soaked in blue & green food coloring until dry. You can also take it a step further like these eggs I found on Buzzfeed unless you want to use them as decor like we did.

“LITTLE CHICKEN FINGERS”

Small chicken tenderloins grilled to perfection with whatever spices your heart desires. You can also use fried chicken tenders but we were trying to be healthy.

“VEGGIES, CHEESE AND GRAPES BOARDS”

The idea was to get that medieval times feel by having wooden boards (notice our “Dinner Is Coming” board) full of veggies, an array of cheeses, and of course – grapes. Who doesn’t want to feel like a queen/king and be fed grapes?

“GoT BLOODY CHARACTER CUPCAKES”

R.I.P. to the fallen major characters. Except you, Joffrey and Ramsey, we’re all glad you kicked the bucket.

Vanilla cupcakes with frosting (of your choosing) with strawberry sauce for “blood”. These sword toothpicks were used to place the printed-out pics in our cupcakes!

“Game of Thrones INSPIRED OREOS”

These Oreos are limited edition (also super hard to get) so try to snatch them while you still can!

COCKTAILS

“THE WHITE WALKER”

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Crushed Ice

1 shot of vodka (we used Tito’s)

Blue Curaçao  – Pour a shot’s worth of the liquor into a shot glass, then use a kid’s medicine syringe to control how much goes into the drink for your desired color of blue.

Tonic Water

Pour ice into tall glass, add vodka, add tonic water, then let blue curaçao trickle down for the pretty effect!

Here are some more delicious cocktail recipes curtesy of RANKER that we will definitely be trying during the next episodes!

DRAFT

This year, our family (as in Matt, Rachel, and I) and some of our closest friends participated in Fantasizr’s “The Game of Game of Thrones” 2019 draft. For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, a group of individuals form their own “draft” like the NFL and each individual has their own “team” which includes multiple characters from Game of Thrones. Once each player has their own team of GoT characters (My team is “A Team Has No Name” and I personally have the following characters on my team: Arya Stark, Bran Stark, Davos Seaworth, Gendry, Meera Reed, Alys Karstark, and Edmure Tully), the goal is to have the most points by the end of the season. Points are given after each episode based off of multiple factors including: whenever a character is killed off or makes a kill, if they “get it on”, or even just by eating and drinking. I’m currently in third place but hoping Arya pulls through for me. Also hoping for some more action in the final episode to finally rack up those points and take the throne!
