Summer Seafood Boil Recipe

There’s just something about a seafood boil that instantly feels like summer. Whether I’m hosting friends on the patio, feeding a crowd after a day on the lake, or simply looking for an easy dinner that feels a little special, this Summer Seafood Boil Recipe never disappoints. It’s loaded with juicy shrimp, smoky sausage, sweet corn, tender potatoes, and plenty of buttery seasoning that brings everything together.

The best part? You don’t need to live near the coast to enjoy it. This seafood boil delivers all the flavors of a beachside feast right in your own backyard. It’s messy in the best way possible, incredibly easy to customize, and one of those meals that turns dinner into an experience. Grab some paper towels, gather everyone around the table, and get ready for one of my favorite summer recipes.

One of my favorite things about this recipe is how simple it is to pull together, even when I’m feeding a crowd. Everything cooks in one pot, which means less cleanup and more time spent hanging out with family and friends. Here’s exactly how I make my go-to Summer Seafood Boil at home.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Cut 2 of the lemons into quarters. Slice the remaining lemon into wedges and reserve them for garnish.
  2. Fill a large pot with 14-16 cups of water. Place the 2 quartered lemons in the water along with the Old Bay seasoning, garlic, and onion. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add the potatoes to the pot and cook for 8 minutes.
  4. Add the lobster tails and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the clams, crab, and corn, and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Add the shrimp and sausage and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Drain the seafood mixture from the pot, reserving 1 cup of the broth.
  8. Melt the butter in a small bowl and whisk it into the reserved broth. Pour the broth over the seafood mixture.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon wedges. Sprinkle with additional Old Bay seasoning to taste, then serve immediately.
