This perfect weekender drink will start quenching your thirst on these warmer spring days we have coming around the corner. Seasonal depression has been LIFTED! The sun has begun to shine again, and what better way to prepare for warmer weather than with the perfect outdoor sipping beverage?

This particular drink is one that will transport you to being lakeside in Italy. Can you guess what it is? Other than knowing the title of this blog post and literally just reading it two paragraphs above, this is known as the ultimate Italian brunch drink. THE APEROL SPRITZ. However, I wanted to put a little twist on it because I feel like spritz type drinks can be a little dry and bitter in nature, which some people love! I like my drinks somewhere in between. Not too sweet, but not too bitter and dry either. Taking the Blackberry spin on this classic drink made all the difference! Keep reading to see the ingredients and how to make BELOW:

INGREDIENTS:

  • Dry Farms Wine Cava Brut (similar to a Prosecco, which you can use if you don’t have this. It’s zero sugar so you’ll have no nasty lingering headache the next day! Literally one of my favorites.
  • Aperol
  • Canada Dry Club Soda
  • Torani Blackberry Syrup
  • Fresh orange slices
  • Ice

HOW TO MAKE:

  • Fill your cocktail glass half full with ice
  • Add 2-3 fresh orange slices
  • Add 3/4 of the glass full with dry brut of your choice
  • Add 2oz of Aperol
  • Add a dash of blackberry syrup
  • Stir and serve!
