Easy Dinner Ideas: Grilled Chicken Marinade Recipe with Mustard

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing my Grilled Chicken Marinade Recipe with Mustard. This is a super delicious, quick, and filling recipe that you can make for the family in the summer!

Top Nashville Lifestyle blogger, Nashville Wifestyles shares her Grilled Chicken Marinade recipe with mustard!

There is something that hits different about cooking in the summertime. You actually want to get out and grill, spend time on your patio, and have fun patio gatherings with loved ones! I also find that I usually eat much healthier in the spring and summer months. You don’t crave as many carbs like you do in the cold months. I always want fresh yummy foods that are light and easy to whip up!

For example, in this particular grilled chicken marinade recipe, I use Coconut Aminos in place of soy sauce, dijon mustard for tangy flavors, olive oil, and lemon juice. These particular ingredients make this recipe super healthy and full of amazing flavor if you’re looking to wow your crowd! This is such a good recipe for grilling season because it’s pretty much a crowd pleaser on any occasion. I have my amazing MIL to thank for this recipe that she shared with me (I swapped out the soy sauce for amino acids) years ago and I have now put on a regular rotation.

If you have friends over? Grill. Family over? Grill. Husband having guys night at the house? Grill. Girls night at the house? Grill. It is grilling season y’all and the southern momma in me loves it so much. Grilling out is a basic staple for the summer. I’m so proud of myself that I taught myself to grill and don’t have to wait on Matt any more. There’s something about grilled chicken that makes me actually crave leftovers as opposed to dreading them like I typically do.

Grilled Chicken Marinade Recipe with Mustard:

Ingredients:

  • Chicken breast cutlets
  • 1 container Dijon mustard
  • 1-2 cups Amino Acids or Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Lemon Juice
  • Lemon Pepper (optional)

Ok to be honest I just eye my ingredients but here is a loose guide. Some people may like more of the aminos and others may like more lemon juice. I typically try to leave the marinade on the chicken for 30 minutes to an hour but honestly the longer the better to let it soak up the flavor. I use a grill spray to keep the chicken from sticking to the grill. After it has marinated throw it on the grill for about 5-6 minutes each side, typically cutting through to check depending on breast size. Let cool down for 5-10 minutes. It’s so delicious for food prep and leftovers too!

I hope you all enjoyed this recipe! Be sure to let me know in the comments if you try it and let me know how much you loved it. If you’re looking for some other easy healthy recipes for this summer, here are some others that I’ve recently shared as well:
