Delicious Cilantro Lime Flank Steak Recipe

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing my Delicious Cilantro Lime Flank Steak Recipe. I know I always (humbly) say that my recipes are winners, but I mean it when I’m talking about your hubby falling in love with you all over again for this one.

I have been so into using my Ninja Foodi Grill lately for all of my recipes. Not only is it so much easier than grilling or slow cooking something, but I swear it’s more flavorful too! I don’t know what kind of magic they put in those Ninja products but they really are killer. I mean literally the past 4 recipe blogs that I’ve put out have all been made with the Ninja Foodi Grill or Pressure Cooker! Being a busy mom, running a business, and trying to find some time for myself now and then, it is so important for me to have quick and delicious meals on hand for the whole family. Food prepping has always made our lives easier which is another big reason that I love the Ninja Foodi Grill so much!

For this particular recipe, I was able to cook the steak in the Ninja Foodi Grill on the grill setting… yes it has a grill setting. It is literally like the spaceship of appliances lol. This evergreen recipe is amazing for a number of reasons. For one, flank steak can be super difficult to cook! It’s a tricky meat to serve on its own because it can be tough to hone in on the flavors. I definitely think that the Foodi had something to do with encapsulating the flavors! My husband told me that this one had a ton of flavor and he is not one to hand out compliments when it comes to his meats unless he really means it! Also, the marinade that I used actually helped tenderize it as well! We were able to eat it all on its own! You could easily add this exact recipe on top of a salad, in tacos, with rice and veggies on the side, whatever floats your boat!

Ingredients:

  • 6 cloves garlic or minced garlic
  • 2 juices limes or lime juice
  • 1/2 red onion chopped finely
  • 1 medium jalapeno pepper
  • 2 TBSP thyme
  • 1 cup cilantro leaves
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 2 TSBP honey
  • Flank steak
  • Kosher salt

Instructions:

  • Use a food processor to mix all ingredients other than meat and salt (haha). Reserve 1/2 cup of the marinade for later use and marinate steak in plastic bag overnight with remaining marinade.
  • Start Ninja Foodi Grill or Grill and let heat up. If using grill use medium-high heat and if using Ninja Foods I used High but you can turn down if you’d like, I wanted a tad charred on the outside.
  • While that is heating up, let steak sit at room temperature. Sprinkle with kosher salt. Then add to grill of choice, timing depending how you like it cooked.
  • When ready to serve, slice the steak then drizzle the marinade you reserved over top. Serve alone, on tacos, on a sandwich, in a salad….whatever you wish.
