Beauty: Nighttime Skincare Routine

Hi beautiful friends! Today I’m sharing my Beauty: Nighttime Skincare Routine! It has taken me a long time to establish a nighttime routine that I truly love. It takes trying out different products, and seeing what works best for you! After exploring different options and seeing how my face reacts to each of them, I’ve personally seen GREAT results with these products I’ve incorporated into my regimen. Keep reading to see the products that I swear by lately and WHY!

Ok let’s talk about skin. I’m getting closer and closer to the big 4-0 and on the daily I am getting questions on Instagram about what I do to my skin. Let me start by saying not only do I treat my skin pretty much every day and night but that I also get botox every 6 month (you should typically keep it up every 3 months) and I have recently been getting injectables. I see Nurse Zan at Face It Franklin and she’s really conservative, so I highly recommend her if you’re looking for someone in the Nashville area. Now obviously that’s not my daily skin routine but I want to be upfront with what I have had done. So with that being said, lets get onto the day to day skin routine.

I’m not an expert, simply sharing what I do since so many of you requested this topic. I am not anal about this routine and sometimes I switch up the brands or add in another product so I’m gonna share my personal favorites from trial and error.

1. Wash face with a cream cleanser (I love the balms) Here are some that I swear by below:

  • Colleen Rothschild Radiant Cleansing Balm
  • ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm

  2. Exfoliate & brighten – Depending on the need of your skin, I sometimes tone or use pads to exfoliate skin. You can also use exfoliated like scrubs

  • Colleen Rothschild Glycolic Acid Peel Pads with Blue Agave
  • SkinPharm Clarifying Pads
  • ELEMIS Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads

3. Retinol (I don’t do every night because sometimes I “slug” my skin – more on that soon)

  • Colleen Rothschild Retinol Supreme Eye Serum
  • Colleen Rothschild Retinol Supreme Night Oil
  • Colleen Rothschild Retinol Supreme Eye Serum
  • SkinCeuticals Retinol 0.3

4. Hyaluronic acid (If you are using it in serum form, you’ll apply it immediately after your retinol. If it is part of your moisturizer, it will be your last step. That allows it to truly harness its power as an emollient and seal in both your other products and moisture)

  • SkinPharm Youth Serum

5. Nighttime cream if needed

  • Neocutis BIO SERUM FIRM Rejuvenating Growth Factor and Peptide Treatment
  • VersedSkin Doctor’s Visit
  • TL Advanced ™ Tightening Neck Cream PLUS for Firming & Brightening – StriVectin | Sephora
  • Revision Skincare Nectifirm

6. Eye cream

  • Colleen Rothschild Retinol Supreme Eye Serum
  • Colleen Rothschild Retinol Supreme Eye Serum
  • Neocutis LUMIÈRE® FIRM RICHE Extra Moisturizing Illuminating Tightening Eye Cream
  • Neocutis LUMIÈRE® Illuminating Eye Cream

7. Neck and décolletage cream

  • Protini™ Polypeptide Moisturizer – Drunk Elephant
  • Sunday Riley GOOD GENES All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment
  • TL Advanced ™ Tightening Neck Cream PLUS for Firming & Brightening – StriVectin | Sephora

If “slugging” caught your interest when listing my steps above, stay tuned. Slugging is a new beauty trend that is going around and I’m actually a big fan. I like to do it once or twice a month (sometimes the night before an event if I have one coming up). If you’ve never heard of the term “slugging”, basically it’s when you put on all of your nighttime serums and then lock it in with Aquaphor or some sort of other jelly-like petroleum to help the hydration of your nightly skincare routine absorb further into your skin! Keep an eye out for more information on slugging in an upcoming blog!

So there you have it, my nighttime skincare routine. You can also check out my morning skincare routine HERE. Hope you enjoyed this post and make sure to check out my IG Reels where I give mini tutorials
