Here are 15 of my absolute favorite denim outfits for the summer season that apply even to the fall transition period (if you’re a Tennessean, you know how difficult it can be to dress for the weather during this time lol). Now, excuse me while I bask in my 90’s nostalgia and pump my ears full of Boyz II Men and TLC. Enjoy! (Linked a shopped the post above as well)
Summer Denim Outfits
- Vintage High Rise Short: This is the perfect short to pair with a colorful flowy blouse or a fun graphic tee! She is the versatile short that can go with flats, platform sandals, or some cute heels. I love her because she can be dressed up or down.
- 90’s Short: This short is extreme Bella Hadid vibes. She can be worn with some fancy heels and a cute blazer for a date night out or if you just want to look like an exclusive boss babe while running your errands through town. Cue the paparazzi!
- Tie-Waist Jumpsuit: Is it just me or are jumpsuits everything?! I swear some of the times I feel most confident is when I’m wearing one of these babes. The tie-waist is especially useful for helping your mid-section feel nice and snatched when you’ve had one too many Oreos if you know what I mean… will quarantine jokes ever get old?
- Rigid Relaxed Mini Skirt: I truly believe everyone needs a mini skirt like this in their fashion arsenal. She is the cutest to wear with a graphic tank or a flowy over the shoulder shirt. If you’re looking to channel your inner flower child, this is your move.
- Wake Up Call Dress: Wake up call. Turning heads. Dropping Jaws. Breaking Necks. That’s this dress. I love this babe for a girls night out on the town. She will beautifully accentuate your curves and tuck you in all the right places!
- Cropped Jacket: This is the perfect piece for accessorizing. Whether you’re wearing a simple sundress, shorts and a tank, a romper, or a jumpsuit, this is the perfect jean jacket to put add to your look! Whether you drape it over your shoulders (like the bougie babe you are) or wear it like a normal person (lol), it’s the cutest fit! I personally love the crop because I feel like it doesn’t cover up your whole outfit from the back. Show off that booty girl.
- Denim Dress: HELLO CONFIDENCE BOOST. There is nothing that can make you feel more like a hot 90’s model straight out of a magazine. This dress makes me want to hop in an old fashioned Corvette and drive to the middle of a desert. Would pair perfectly with some solid strap up heels or faux snake skin booties!
- Caribbean Blue Short: Knock knock, waist-snatch genie here again! These shorts are darling to wear with a tucked in tank. I love how versatile they are as well as how they cover up that pesky inner thigh nonsense.
- Oversized Boyfriend Shirt: This will literally always be a classic. I swear I have had some variation of this shirt since I was a teenager! Whether you’re pairing this shirt with some cute white skinny jeans, tied up in style knot paired with some khaki shorts, or unbuttoned as an extra layer/accessory with a dress, it is a must-have for your closet!
- Vintage Cutoff Short: This light-wash short is imperative for your summertime backyard BBQ or pool party. She pairs so preciously with a little tasteful crop top or bodysuit.
- High-Rise Shorts Front-Button Edition: These shorts are lovely if you’re looking for something a bit more conservative. They tuck you in tightly while still being stretchy and giving you the comfort you need. You don’t have to worry about anything hanging out that shouldn’t with the length and closed hem at the bottoms! Don’t forget about that high-rise front-button goodness to hide any bloating.
- Classic Denim Jacket: This is literally just your necessary denim jean jacket. It will go with anything and everything.
- Pinstripe Mini Dress: I love this pinstripe design because it’s one of those pieces that truly brings me back in time. There is something about this design that is just so classic and timeless. This is the essential casual date night dress.
- Coverall: These are so F U N! Like put me in Footloose with Kevin Bacon so I can dance around and wear some red converse shoes. Some fun tan or white booties would also pair well we these to dress them up a bit.
- Vintage Shortalls: I love these with a plain white tee underneath or even a thick strap white tank. These can absolutely be dressed up or down! Super fun for a summer Nash Broadway look as well.
