Once upon a time, a long long time ago, in a far away land, there was an ancient tale that wearing white clothing was only allowed between Memorial Day (late May) and Labor Day (early September). Fun fact: this idea originated from the late 19th century, when the upper class jetted off to their summer homes for the warmer months leaving behind the filth of the city life. We have literally all been out here living in a real life Gossip Girl episode! Although we all wish 2020 would hurry itself up on out of here, the fact of the matter is that we are indeed living in modern times. NOT in an American Teen Drama television series… as much as we wish we were sometimes. But screw this limited wearing white rule?! Obviously, there are so many stylish white pieces made for the summer (beautiful linen, cotton dresses, etc.). However, there are so many other fun ways to wear white according to each season!
Here I am giving you 12 easy ways of wearing white any time of the year. Come with me and join the revolt against the Upper East Side wearing-white-year-round-bullies. I’m talking to you Blair Waldorf 😉
