Trend Alert: Top Curtain Bangs Looks & Styles

Ok ok fine. I tried to fight it but I’m hopping on this trend because Curtain Bangs truly look good on mostly everyone. I really haven’t met one person that can’t pull of the wispy look! It gives such a nice feminine yet edgy touch to any hairstyle. With the everyday craziness of life events ebbing and flowing – there is always one thing that you can count on. It’s one of my favorite sayings and a quote that I hold close to me when I’m feeling anxious about the future; “everything that was once old will be new again”, genius right? I wish I could say that I came up with it! This is especially true in fashion, hairstyles, and trends. We’ve seen it all make a comeback. The tie die, jumpsuits, flare jeans, scrunchies, shiny/glossy makeup looks… the whole nine! Although it seems that the famous Curtain Bangs from the 60’s and 70’s has topped most of these.

Curtain Bangs

We’ve seen them featured in pop culture, movies, TV shows, and all over social media. The great thing about them that separates them from regular ol’ bangs is that they are extremely versatile. They are flattering on straight hair, curly, short, long, or medium length, blonde, brunette, blue, purple, you name it! The only issue with new trends is that we all think to ourselves, “perhaps in another life I would do that ___ (insert risky scary thing)”. Well I have two points to make: 1. Here I have put together a compilation of some SUPER cute Curtain Bang styles for your inspiration! I am featuring an assortment of curtain bangs styled on a variety of women (including myself)! 2. After the god awful year of 2020 that we just had… WHY NOT? Try something new. If we’ve learned anything over the past 365+ days it’s that we can do anything that we set our minds to. Including you rocking some Curtain Bangs girlfriend!

@marianthipantelidou we are in love with this chunky layered look. STUNNING.
  1. Gradual curtain bangs @nashvillewifestyles: These are for those of us not ready to take the full plunge or slowly easing into this iconic 60’s look. I’m not going to lie, it was a scary experience for me obtaining this look! It took me gradually trimming them and transitioning to the final look! I am so happy with them now and feel completely refreshed. I would be lying if I said they weren’t giving me a boost of new confidence as well.
  2. Voluminous Curtain Bangs @mua.lydia: This self-taught lover of makeup and beauty is all things inspo. We are loving her variety of styled curtain bangs with her long auburn hair!
  3. Blunt Curtain Bangs @darlingjulietphoto: This beautiful and creative woman has our Pinterest hair dreams coming to life. Julia, photographer, is putting in work behind AND in front of the camera! We are obsessed with this way of styling.
  4. Fringe Curtain Bangs @marissadanelle: Marissa has our jaw on the floor. This Nashville hair stylist to the stars has this look down pat and we can’t get enough! Her wavy Brunette curtain bang style is everything.
  5. Faux Curtain Bangs @livviedix: This groovy gal from Nashville, TN has us #influenced. This selection is special because you don’t actually have to cut your hair for this look! She has her hair simply pinned back to imitate the curtain bang hairstyle. I mean WHAT?! You literally would never know the difference. This is for all ya’ll out there that want to “rent” this style instead of “own” it 😉 no shame sis… yaaas!
  6. Long, Wispy Fringe Bangs @chauntallewis: This babe is totally rocking the look. Chauntal is a talented actress and makeup artist in California. We are so inspired by her light, short-haired, curtain bang style! I am loving this look for every season but especially upcoming for Spring and Summer!
