Just a quick note about fashion in the fall here in the south, if you live here or anywhere near it, you know that it doesn’t really get cold… like ever really. I mean it gets sort of cold November-January I would say. Other than that thought, I would say it stay decently warm here in Tennessee. This can make it difficult to find a solid wardrobe for the fall months! It’s not your typical cardigan outfit or turtle neck sweater. We have to tweak these super cute “fall” outfits to the weather. Luckily, the 70s era doesn’t stick to any sort of weather dress code!

Whether it’s makeup, fashion, lifestyle, you name it. The 70s truly had it going on. Ok ok. I was indeed an 80s baby, much like the rest of you. However, if I could pick any other decade to be alive in, it would definitely be the 70s! The 70s just seemed so ~ vibey ~ if you know what I mean. The fashion staples, the makeup styles, the way people carried themselves… all of it! Everyone just seemed so cool. I always think of like Mila Kunis in That 70s Show. She was an ICON in that show. I mean who are we kidding, she is an icon in every movie she’s in. I just love her.

Anyways, back to why I love 70s fashion so much. If ya’ll know me, you know I’m the biggest fashion fanatic. Throughout the years it has been so fun for me to try out seasonal trends, fashion challenges, and more. I love trying out different era’s of fashion, different glam looks, natural looks, funky looks, you name it.

When I think of the 70s, I think of all the iconic women thriving during a time where social movements towards freedom and equality where expanding, and women where shifting from being conventionally “traditional” to becoming advent fighters for independence and freedom. Some of these women include but are not limited to: Cher, Debbie Harry, Diana Ross, Jane Birkin, Sharon Tate, Donna Summer, and more.

I honestly love the idea of a 70s fashion vibe for this fall. It’s a great way to tie in all the colors, and dramatic looks for going out at night.
