Nashville may not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of ultimate romance, but if you haven’t been here before, I think you may be surprised! I love strolling around downtown and finding new places to go to with my hubby. The river is beautiful and you can always stroll down the walking bridge before or after dinner at sunset! (p.s. a great place to pop the question if you’ve been thinking about it gentlemen). The city lights make you feel alive. If you live in the suburbs like I do, going downtown definitely isn’t an every night scenario. However, it makes it that much more special when you make a point to go. Getting out of the routine of every day hustle and bustle at home with the kids is super important for keeping the sparks flying in your relationship.
Whether you’ve been married 10 years or just got into a relationship with someone, I think it’s so important to take time for just the two of you. Being able to leave your distractions and focus on each other is a great opportunity to grow and learn more about each other! No matter how much you love someone, a simple date night can remind you why you’re choosing this person each day. Why you fell in love with them in the first place. Why you became best friends. Why you’re making a choice to do this crazy thing called life together! I mean have you ever seen the movie Date Night with Tina Fey and Steve Carrell? You should definitely watch it if you haven’t, but the plot is basically all about how life can take us a million directions and sometimes we need a reminder of how special the person in front of us is. In the movie, they worry that their spark has faded. The plan a romantic date night in the city when their night takes a crazy turn. Just watch it and you’ll understand where I’m coming from… anyways.

- Bourbon Steak: On top of the JW Marriott Hotel. Has some of the most stunning views with 360 views of downtown. Mouth watering variety of foods and cocktails! Incredible during sunset & at night.
- Etch: Very eclectic upscale dining experience. Super modern and located downtown! Delicious.
- The Optimist: Fancy! Incredible and unique seafood. The oysters are incredible. Helloooo aphrodisiac! If you’re looking to branch out and expand your tastebuds, ask your waiter/waitress what to get. They are excellent at recommending new dishes that will blow your mind. Oh, and don’t be thrown off by the way the meals look. They are presented like art and all taste incredible.
- Skull’s Rainbow Room: Speakeasy style lounge with nightly burlesque shows nightly. Excellent food and cocktails.
- Virago: BOMB sushi. Super cool ambiance. It’ll make you feel important just being there because it’s a mood. Get the wasabi martini trust me.
