A few weeks ago we headed to Panama City Beach, FL for a relaxing weekend with Travel Mindset and the PCB Tourism Board for an Insta Meetup with some other blogger mommas who love to travel with their kiddos. I was so excited to meet these ladies and their families. It’s so nice to meet your insta fiends in real life and connect with bloggers you are just now meeting. We flew out with the girls at about 8 AM so we all had to wake up a little earlier than normal but that’s OK when you’re going on vacation. Charlie did surprisingly really well on our Southwest flight from Nashville. The weather was amazing the entire trip. Since Matt’s company is beach-based we spend a lot of time in Florida and it never disappoints. Keep reading to see all of the fun we had and for things to do in Panama City Beach…
Things to do in Panama City Beach: Activities
We grabbed lunch and a couple daiquiris and a milkshake for Keatyn (because duh, vacation) then relaxed until the happy hour cocktail to meet up with all of the bloggers along with their families. After socializing for a bit we all headed to a sunset dolphin cruise with Island Time Sailing. Keatyn and I made it a girl’s night since Charlie’s bedtime is so early. Seeing the delight on her little sweet face while watching for dolphins was magical. Experiencing the world through your children’s eyes is the best part of being a parent, hands down. The dolphins were so coy, teasing us with little dives in and out but then after a but they came out and started playing with each other. It was beautiful. You can see on my YouTube channel.
Things to do in Panama City Beach: Shell Island
Of course no trip to Panama City is complete without checking out Shell Island. (I can say that now that I’ve been there) We took Shell Island Snorkeling to the island Saturday morning. Shell island is a natural, undeveloped 700-acre barrier island and lies between the Gulf of Mexico and St. Andrews Bay. We let the kids play on the white beach and they had a giant float for them to wade in the ocean while the adults chatted close by. Charlie kept eating the sand, ha. It was absolutely stunning and I definitely will be back.
We ended Saturday night with a giant bonfire with s’mores and tacos on the beach at dusk. I really enjoyed this intimate gathering and getting to know some of the other families, especially since s’mores were involved. We all chatted, ate, kids played and really enjoyed the evening for a couple of hours before heading back to the resort.
Where did we stay?
We stayed at Holiday Inn Resort Panama City Beach. On their website it says that guests compare their beach-side resort to a cruise ship on land! I can definitely see why. It literally has EVERYTHING you will need. One of my favorite little perks was walking outside to the pool and seeing a bug basket of swim diapers in case you forgot in all sizes because guess who forgot? (raises hand) That was such a thoughtful touch. The Holiday Inn resort in PCB has 340 gulf front hotel rooms with all private balconies and amazing views. They also have multiple dining options. Personally I was extremely impressed by their deck situation… Their tiki bar was so fun, they had daily live entertainment from live music to giant movie screens and so many fun things for kids. My kids personally loved the splash pad waterpark they have at the resort. We spent the entire morning there the day we left and I practically had to drag Keatyn out.
Things to do in Panama City Beach: Pier Park

We could not leave without stopping at pier Park checking out the boardwalk. We tried out the Dragon balls we have been seeing all over Florida, which was a very unique experience. Then walked and browsed all of the shops and of course ate at the infamous Back Porch.
It was such a treat to travel with our babies because I have always wanted them to be well traveled. So excited to make more memories with them traveling all around.
