Hi friends! Today I’m sharing my Summer Makeup Essentials: New Ilia Products Review. I absolutely love how lightweight, effective, and beautiful all of these products are for spring and summer! My skin changes a lot with the warmer weather and humidity, so it is super important for me to make sure that my products are up to date with each season.
I have been a huge fan of Ilia for quite some time now, and some of these new products really are perfect for the warmer weather coming up. I’m here to tell you a little bit why and what specifically is different from some of their (and other brands) year-round or winter specific products.
If ya’ll know me, you know I’m the biggest makeup fanatic! I absolutely love trying out different products and sharing my first impressions with you all. Makeup is especially fun because you can experiment with a huge variety of looks! Throughout the years it has been so fun for me to try out seasonal trends, makeup challenges, and more. Finding makeup looks for summer can be particularly difficult here in Tennessee because it just gets so. dang. hot. It is so hard to find products that stay on your face! You leave the house looking one way and then an hour goes by and it’s like you’ve been attacked by a clown or fallen asleep in a sauna. That’s why summer makeup essentials are so important. I simply don’t think you can make it through the summer without them!
The truth is, it’s 2021. We should definitely have some products out there that help with this sort of problem. I mean, hot weather and humidity is a real thing! They know that right? Sometimes I don’t know what these makeup brands are thinking. Lucky for y’all, I’ve scoped out some of the best products for long lasting wear that fight against hot weather and keep your makeup looking fresh and new. These summer makeup essentials are not only great for the summer season, but they are also great if you’re looking for long time wear. Whether you’re on a trip or going for a night out where you’ll be dancing and doing all the things, you’ll want makeup that lasts!

- ILIA True Skin Medium Coverage Serum Foundation with Niacinamide– I accidentally got it a tad too dark for me but I made it work. I honestly prefer the serum foundation as its lighter but for more coverage I really liked this! Also love using It because its clean.
- Balmy Gloss Tinted Lip Oil – OMG I LOVE this! It has a beautiful pigmentation and is light enough where it feels like nothing. I have it in a few colors and use it when I wanna throw something on my lips low key or refresh them to hydrate.
- Soft Focus Finishing Powder – A little goes a long way! It helps blur your skin and it stays on all day!
- The Necessary Eyeshadow Palette – I was actually pretty shocked how pigmented this was especially since its clean and talc free! I really feel like the colors are versatile and can work for pretty much most of us. They are really beautiful as well. I really liked this palette.
- Liquid Powder Chromatic Eye Tint – This liquid shadow is also highly pigmented and when you start applying know that it dries quick so build as soon as you can. I used it in the inner corners and thought it held up as well as my Still liquid eye shadows!
- True Skin Radiant Priming Serum – I really like this primer! It was hydrating and obviously love that it is a clean primer. Its weightless and the Ilia foundation blended nicely on it.
- Clean Line Gel Eyeliner – Didn’t love this one TBH, it tugged and traveled, not staying put. Its a no for me.
- Multi-Stick Cream Blush + Lip Tint – These are my fave! I love a good multi stick. I have multiple colors and love to use them to bring some color and richness to my face, especially on days where I’m going for a natural look. Its a definite YES!
