Hello & Happy Hump Day friends! Today I’m sharing my Pottery Barn Kids Decor for a Girls Bedroom Makeover. PBK is one of my absolute favorite brands to exist and I hope the girls never age a bit because I want to continue to use their kids decor forever! It’s that cute. TBH I even use some of the products in my own decor. Plus they have a teen line that I can continue to use them forever. This room transformation was an absolute MUST y’all. We were really struggling. To make a long story short, the girls were originally in separate bedrooms. As you can imagine, they were either both ending up in bed with us at night or sleeping with each other. It really is so sweet how close they are and how close that they want to be to us, but it’s so important to build good habits (which involves them NOT crawling into our bed in the middle of the night and learning how to be independent too). We thought long and hard about a solution to this problem but went back and forth for some time trying to figure out the best solution. We came to the conclusion that we should create a joint bedroom and study space for the girls. As Charlie is getting older, and Keatyn is maturing more every day, they are becoming very close. Believe me, they still fight like to the death (as girl siblings should I suppose), but they really do enjoy doing life together. I believe it’s also great for them to develop teamwork, good social skills, and learn to workout problems on their own accord! What’s better? They keep each other very entertained. With all this being said, this adjustment was a no brainer when it came to saving mine and my husbands marriage and the girls sanity too lol.

We were able to get two separate beds for the girls which includes amazing essential under-bed storage. Keatyn’s bed includes drawers that are full of her school uniform outfits, dance gear, and PJ’s. Charlie’s is similar in that it holds her PJ’s, every day frequent clothing that she wears, and more. This makes it so much easier for them to put away their clothes and have easy access to everything that they need morning and night. The storage elements of these Pottery Barn Kids pieces is probably my favorite part about these products. They are SO functional and look beautiful too. I have a pet peeve when it comes to sacrificing function for beauty – why shouldn’t you be able to have both?! I choose both every time if I can. And trust me, Pottery Barn Kids has BOTH!

This storage system on the wall is one of my FAVE pieces in their bedroom. The girls have so much stuff. Way too much stuff. Between toys, books, technology, accessories, stuffed animals, and more, we really needed a space to put everything so it wasn’t just scattered all over the floor. I will admit, I am one of those out of sight out of mind people. Also, clutter drives me mad. This storage system makes it so easy for the girls to keep organized and for me to help them find their things when needed. It makes clean up at the end of the day a lot more simple too. I am so obsessed with it.

Ginger loves it too!

I love that the girls are able to be together and still be independent at the same time. Because Keatyn is older, she sometimes has more difficult things like homework that she may need to focus on. Whereas some of the educational and entertaining sources that Charlie is using, may call for a different space. That’s why I love that their room serves as a bedroom and study space that is suited to the girls needs at their different ages. Keatyn’s study space is a dream because its functional and includes everything she needs.

I could go on and on about why this room is literally one of our new favorites in the house, but truly it makes me so happy to see the girls loving and utilizing it the way that it should be. Not only have our days and nights been smoother, but we’re all in a better mood. I’m sure you momma’s out there can relate. The elements that I’ve mentioned in this blog are so important to keeping the flow and progression of every day life smooth in your household and within your family. I love this little phase of life for them and us! We couldn’t be more excited about this Pottery Barn Kids Decor and all the joy it’s brought to our little side of town 🙂
