When we moved in our home, I was super excited to decorate and start gutting our house. Unfortunately, it wasn’t in the budget. We have had to slowly transform each room. I like to have a certain feel for each room. For our guest room I knew I wanted black and white room I love the look of Old Hollywood glamour. I’ve had all kinds of ideas on how I wanted it to look but I am just now able to continue completing it.
Since we have so many guests that stay in our guest room, I HAD to make it look amazing. My mother in law visits every 4-6 weeks, my parents and all of our friends that come and sleep there. I started with black curtains and frames from Home Goods. I have so many photos scattered around my house of our family, I decided to fill it with something a little different. I opted to use black and white photos of some of my favorite actresses and musicians.
I love how it turned out. Who could have an Old Hollywood room without Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe?!
The perfect addition was my queen platform bed by Safavieh. It’s a sleigh platform style tufted bed. I love the soft grey with mailed embellishments. The grey is a tad greenish/beige and it’s super comfy. My husband put it together in an hour and said it was really great quality. We love this bed! My mother in law has been sleeping in it this week and she is so excited we upgraded. I know my guests will feel so luxurious with our new bed.
