How to Make Heart Shaped Pancakes for Valentines Day

Hi love birds! Today I’m sharing How to Make Heart Shaped Pancakes for Valentines Day. I surprised my kids with this when they got home from school and they absolutely LOVED it! They were so excited and always love breakfast for dinner. Keep reading to see how we created this delicious pancake board!

Valentines Day just simply isn’t what it used to be. In fact, it’s actually better. Don’t get me wrong, I love the romantic date nights with my husband, but getting to spend special fun holidays like this with our kids is all the better. They are at the age where we truly enjoy their company so much! This past Friday we had a family night and it was literally so fun. We all took a dip in our hot tub, then made yummy snacks and had a movie night! We laughed, snuggled, and really just soaked in the moment.

Lately, we have been spending Valentines Day with the kids and it has really made it that much sweeter. The kids are used to me making all sorts of yummy treats during the different holidays, so this became a new favorite for them. Check out how I made these Heart Shaped Pancakes for Valentines Day BELOW:

HEART SHAPED PANCAKES:

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Krusteaz Buttermilk Pancake Mix
  • Water
  • Strawberries
  • Chocolate Syrup
  • Maple Syrup (we used glitter syrup)
  • Whipped Cream
  • Heart Shaped Cookie Cutter
  • Blueberries

HOW TO MAKE:

  • Follow instructions on Krusteaz box for amount of pancakes you want to make
  • Mix Krusteaz Buttermilk Pancake Mix and water until well blended
  • Add butter or non-stick spray to pan over medium heat
  • Pour pancake mix onto pan making them as big or small as you’d like
  • When the batter starts to bubble, flip pancake
  • Cook until golden brown
  • Add to cutting board to cool
  • Once all your pancakes are added to a cutting board, use your heart shaped cookie cutter to shape pancakes
  • Push cookie cutter into center of pancake and remove excess
  • Clean up edges with a knife if needed
  • Add heart shaped pancakes to a cute VDay plate or board and then add your heart shaped strawberries, maple syrup, blueberries, whipped cream, and whatever else you’d like!

I hope you all enjoyed this post 🙂 This makes for the perfect surprise when your kids get home from school, breakfast for dinner, or surprise your S.O. with breakfast in bed with this little special treat! I promise they will love it. Happy Valentine’s Day! Xoxox
