Hi friends! Today I’m sharing my Holiday Cocktail: Aperol Spritz Recipe! I hope that everyone is binge watching holiday movies, eating all the sugar cookies, putting up lights, shopping, and all of the things. I don’t know about you, but now that Thanksgiving is over, I’m in FULL BLOWN holiday mode! You all know that I love sharing all of the festive holiday food and drink recipes with you, so here is yet another. Keep reading to see how to make your own Winter Wassail Aperol Spritz Recipe!
It’s that time of year where there is one party after the next, the drinks are flowing and life is just cheerful and happy. It truly is the best time of year and you know what that means right? Themed everything. Oh yeah y’all already know, it’s my time to shine. I live for this. One of the previous holiday cocktails that I made was a Rudolph’s Ruby Nose Rhubarb Fizz – Easy 3 Ingredient Holiday Cocktail CLICK HERE to see that recipe. This weeks however is definitely more of a winter wonderland “we classy tonight” vibe. If Aperol Spritz didn’t sound fancy enough for you, well, that’s why we added the “Winter Wassail” to it.
Well fine, that’s not the ONLY reason the Winter Wassail adds the perfect twist to an Aperol Spritz. If you haven’t had it before, you can purchase Winter Wassail Punch from the holy grail of grocery stores… you guessed it. Trader Joes. Their Winter Wassail Punch is a sweet blend of black currant, apple, and lemon juices with cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, ginger, cardamom, and orange peel. This punch brings all of the holiday “notes” to your cocktail working to fill your nose and tastebuds with deliciousness all around. Here’s how I made this Winter Wassail Aperol Spritz Recipe:
HOW TO MAKE:
- Add ice about half full to a festive glass of your choosing
- Add 2 shots of Aperol
- Top with Trader Joes Winter Wassail
- Top off with your favorite Prosecco
- Stir with Rosemary stick and add to drink
- Garnish with cranberries & orange slice (you can use any garnishing of your choosing, but I feel like these really brought out the flavors in the Winter Wassail)
