It’s been a hectic couple weeks or couple years for that matter. Right now I’m writing this as we watch 12 Strong with my family who is in town. Matt keeps getting super annoyed because everyone keeps talking and making jokes ha. Literally I have heard him huff maybe 15 times.
This Family Easter post might possibly be nearly 2 weeks late but currently I feel like I’m drowning so time has no meaning to me. The more and more mobile Charlie becomes, the less I seem to be getting accomplished. It’s stressful. I’ve been looking into mom’s day out programs but no luck thus far. I also plan on hitting the gym again this week full force like I did pre-Charlie. (Pray for me) As you guys know if you’ve followed along with my, my husband had shoulder surgery at the beginning of March so it’s been quite the journey juggling work and kids since he can’t help too much. Also his work is beach related and since beach season is in full effect, he’s been quite the busy man. He can’t lift Charlie for another few weeks and we have just been doing our best to make it work.
We also are planning a lot of renovations on our home to help it sell better in a couple years when we move. We have a giant spare room upstairs that would add some major footage, our master bath needs some help and we need a new roof and the outside of our house painted. Sounds like money to me, ha. In addition to that the amount of taxes we owe this year since we both are business owners now is astronomical. I swear adulting is much harder than my parents made it look…and much more expensive. I’m exhausted just thinking about it.
Do you guys ever feel like there just aren’t enough hours in the day and you are drowning? Because I just can’t get ahead and the pressure is overwhelming. I just wanted to write up a quick little early April recap but also share with you guys a few struggles this month to let you know if you’re feeling this way too, that you’re not alone. Being an adult is so much work. Being a mother on top of that is even harder. You feel stretched thin and when you finally get that moment to yourself, you are too drained to even do the 100 things you need to do. It’s a lot of work but it’s temporary. Just know you’re doing amazing. Hope you guys have a great week ahead!
