Have you jumped on the collagen train yet or are you still debating? I have been using collagen from Ancient Nutrition for 1+ year and can’t get enough. I was also fortunate enough to attend Dr Axe’s wellness retreat and learn all about it directly from the source. I also have hooked my 75 year old grandmother who says her skin 100% looks less crepey skin. So I’m really excited to share my collagen infused Mexican Mule recipe with you today!
Why does collagen help us? We produce collagen naturally as humans but as we age, our collagen production declines, which in turn makes our skin elasticity decline making wrinkles form. Collagen also directly supports bone and joint health. When we add that back in with collagen peptides in powder form or supplements then it can improve your skin, hair, joint & bone health, gut, teeth and so much more.
How do you take it? Well I use Ancient Nutrition collagen and it comes in multiple forms. I use the Vanilla Chai CBD Collagen in my coffee in the morning (you can also use any of the collagen powder in your coffee), I use the strawberry lemonade and a lot of the fruit flavors directly mixed with water. It tastes delicious and I can’t tell the powder is there besides it making my drink or coffee taste better. You can also take it in pill form.
Where can I find it? You can order directly on Ancient Nutrition website and use my code nashvillewifestyles for 20%off!

Ok for the star of my show, I’m sharing my Cucumber Lime Mexican Mule Cocktail recipe with collagen.
Mexican Mule Recipe
Ingredients:
- Tres Agaves Tequila
- Ginger Beer
- Cucumber Lime Collagen (1 scoop)
- Lime Juice
- Jalapeños if you want it spicy
Fill your mule mug with ice. Add one shot of tequila. Fill it with ginger beer 3/4 of the way. Add a fresh lime or lime juice. Add one scoop of Cucumber Lime collagen and stir. I sometimes use a brother to make sure to dissolve all of the powder.
Enjoy! And hey, we can just pretend it’s a healthy cocktail, right? Ha.
