Whether your style is moody, minimalist, farmhouse, modern, spooky, or warming, I’ve seen everyone putting such an amazing unique touch on their porches this year! In the south, your porch decor is very important. It’s more than just a porch. For most of us, it’s imperative for our front porch to be a welcoming space. It’s the first thing you see when you come to a person’s home, and it’s the last thing that you see when you leave! I am a firm believer in first impressions y’all. I think being able to decorate your front porch in a way that is a sneak peak of what you’ll see inside is the perfect way to introduce your home to someone when they walk in your front door. Having a welcoming front porch is a little way that we portray our southern hospitality before you really get to know our home and space.
We are big entertainers here at the Houston household, so I love creating a space that makes our guests feel comfortable, happy, and festive year-round! Having game day watch parties at our house along with Halloween parties galore, we never run out of things to celebrate over here in the Fall. With all the craziness since 2020, it’s nice to be able to gather in a space safely again. Humans definitely aren’t meant to spend too much time alone. I’m an introvert some would say and I couldn’t wait to be back celebrating life with my family and friends. Am I preaching to the choir here or what?!
