It’s FOOTBALL time in TENNESSEE! Have your husbands also disappeared this football season? If anyone is looking for mine, you can find him at his new home…aka his recliner. Where he only gets up to make another drink or to jump off the recliner to yell at the call a ref made and if his teams scores. Yup so while he and his buddies drink a few beers, I decided since I have to bear it anyways why not make a crafty cocktail for the ladies in the house? I have always been a huge fan of mimosas and champagne/prosecco in general. (21+ only) I have them at any daytime event I host. I drink SANPELLEGRINOS like they’re going out of style too so one day when making my typical, boring mimosas, a lightbulb flickered in my head. Duhhh add the Aranciata Rossa SANPELLEGRINO to make my mimosa to kick it up a notch. So I ventured next door to my local Publix and scooped up a couple of cases for my girlfriends and I. And honestly the kids because I made a cocktail for them with sparkling juice and San Pelligrino blood orange. Keatyn loves to feel like a big girl. It completely hits the spot while being refreshing, satisfying and thirst quenching. San Pelligrino is a sparkling fruit beverage that enriches the taste buds with their sun-ripened blood orange flavor. It is an Italian beverage made with a blend of blood orange juice and sparkling water.
So in true wino form I am compiling a GAME DAY recipe plus a few seasonal mimosa recipes I KNOW you guys will enjoy:
GAME DAY MIMOSA:
Serves 4.
- 1 bottle champagne or prosecco
- 2-3 cans of SANPELLEGRINO Aranciata Rossa (Blood Orange)
- Fresh sliced oranges for garnish
Fill those glasses to whatever ratio you enjoy and garnish with fresh oranges. Clearly I’m a UT fan but you don’t have to bleed orange to enjoy this yummy take on a mimosa. I love how the mild carbonation kicks up the mimosa and makes it feel much more refreshing. Also now I just make my mimosas in general with SANPELLEGRINO Aranciata Rossa because it tastes so yummy.
FALL MIMOSAS
APPLE BRANDY MIMOSA || Add a splash or equal parts Champagne and Apple Brandy to SANPELLEGRINO Aranciata Rossa. The apple gives the mimosa an autumn edge and makes the drink a bit more potent if you know what I mean. This would be a delightful addition to a fall inspired brunch.
CRANBERRY INSPIRED MIMOSA || Cranberries are a holiday staple and mixed with SANPELLEGRINO Aranciata Rossa the bright hue of the cranberries mix it up along with adding more tart. Just make your mimosa as normal and muddle a small handful of the berries and add 1/4 tsp of white sugar or stevia.
APPLE CIDER MIMOSA || Another yummy take on your fall mimosas is mixing half parts apple cider and SANPELLEGRINO Aranciata Rossa. The rich flavor of apple cider brings in that autumn feel and compliments the unique taste of the SANPELLEGRINO. You can also sprinkle fresh cinnamon on top as a garnish.
So are you ready for fall football now? I hope you guys enjoy the rich flavors of SANPELLEGRINO Aranciata Rossa as a substitute for your fall mimosas, screwdrivers (21+ only) or just to drink alone.
