Look Corona, we hear you. We’re staying inside. We’re practicing healthy habits. We’re spending time with our loved ones. We’re appreciating life before you came along. Thank you for teaching us all a big fat lesson on how to wash your hands. Does anyone else feel like they are going to come out of all this with severe OCD? Not to mention the fact that when the news of the virus started spreading (when we were still allowed in public), I noticed all of the soap dispensers were completely empty. Like all of them. Were people not washing their hands regularly before this terrifying pandemic!? It’s quite possibly the number one rule of good hygiene! I don’t know if I’ll ever go into a grocery store ever again without wearing gloves. It’s literally the first thing we learn when we’re little other than brushing our teeth! Let’s please all promise to take one lesson with us when this is all over… wash your damn hands. Sorry, rant over.

While we’re on the subject of health, I’m going to give you 10 Natural Immune Boosting Remedies to practice all the time, along with two magical immune supercharging recipes that I promise you Corona would be scuuured of. Enjoy and happy hand washing!

General Immune Boosting Remedies to practice:

1. Practice a healthy diet: make sure you’re taking in lots of fruits and vegetables, green smoothies with kale and spinach

2. Keep stress under control: practice meditation, journal, activities you enjoy doing, set aside at least 5 minutes each day to check in with yourself

3. Get plenty of sleep: turning off electronics at least two hours before bed, avoiding high-stress conversations and activities

4. Exercise regularly (outdoors, if possible): increases endorphins and is a good way to manage stress

5. Practice moderation when drinking alcohol (if possible)

6. Don’t smoke: quarantine should help kick the habit but there are plenty of resources such as counseling, nicotine replacement products, non-nicotine medications, and behavioral therapy options

7. Soak up the sun: vitamin D is an immune system supercharge you only need about 15-20 minutes in order to get the vitamin dosage you need

8. Laugh a lot: maintaining a happy/positive attitude can lower stress levels, promote sleep, and give your immune system the boost it needs

9: Take steps to avoid any infections: wash your hands (DUH), cook meats thoroughly, and minimize exposure to those with signs of sickness

10. Make sure you get your essential vitamins and minerals: Vitamin A, B6, C, D, and E; vitamin C being the biggest immune booster of all. See my favorite brands below.

Some of my favorite brands to boost your immune system are Maty’s & Ancient Nutrition. Maty’s doesnt just battle these irritated throats of ours, it is also packed with 10 immune boosters so you can rest assured you’re giving your children (or yourself) the best ingredients. Keatyn takes it straight up or mixed with a drink but i just sneak it on Charlie’s waffle like it’s a syrup and we are golden. Ancient Nutrition is my GO TO for all of my vitamins in additon in collagen. They only use the highest qulaity, natural ingredients and I stand behind their products 100%.
